Thanks for your post. It was a nice try to achieve an answer but not convincing for me.
If there is no space-time inside aquarium then there is no aquarium. Such an assumption can only be true if the physical laws governing the world containing the aquarium are different from the one governing the golf ball. Still the physical laws of the world outside aquarium will have an effect in the golf ball.
Hope this makes some sense!
Thanks!

but what if all there was is the aquarium nothing else existed
but what if all there was is the aquarium nothing else existed
Perhaps what you are forgetting is the previous inhabitants of the aquarium. Its the fish. We came after the fish. We are better than fish.

who says i like the fish more than i like the humans the fish provide noirishment what have the humans ever done
Are you sure that whatever you see around you, it exists? Do they really exist in the way you experience them?
When you look around, what you see is a distortional picture of some information that were contained in the energy of the universe in the past. Technically you aren't even able to see your present because it takes some infinitesimally small time (but still it takes time) for light to get into your eyes from the things that you perceive in your environment. You aren't even able to see things without distortion because perspective is only in your brain, not in your environment. Even more, the way you discover colors is depending on the receptor-cells in your eyes (and of course, your brain-functions). There are 3 types of these cells for the low, medium and high waves, and a fourth type to see brightness-darkness. If you have less cells or disfunctional cells then you don't see correct.
So, I guess, the first question is not "what is the reason of existence?" but "what exists?" :)
We can say the aquarium is energy, and the golf ball is energy too. We can say that our consciousness is energy and when the energy of our consciousness interacts with the energy of the golf ball then we experience the golf ball. But there is no such thing as golf ball in existence.

It doesn't really matter "what exists", in my opinion. Maybe all what I perceive really exist, maybe not. Maybe only myself really exist and I'm dreaming everything else, maybe not. Maybe even myself is a dream, maybe not.
But one thing is 100% certain: there is some existence. There is not only a pure Nothingness. Because even a dream, an hallucination, is something.
The golf ball represents what exists, wathever it is.

A dream is something, yes, but the palace in which you live in your dream is NOT REAL. Your dream, indeed, is real, but whatever you dream about is not. The most reality of an object of a dream is that there might be a like object in reality - but that is not the SAME, just a similar object.
So it really matters what is reality, what exists and what is just a mass of informations - like the objects of our dreams and thoughts.
See, we have to separate "thought" from "the object of thought" - they're not the same. Thoughts are represented as electromagnetic signals all over our brain's synapses, and indeed, they are real. But whatever we think about, is just some kind of idea-model of something that might or might not exist in reality. We could say that the objects of our thoughts are in our heads, and so they exist. But what exists is the very signal and not the picture. There are no pictures, movies, sounds and complex events in our heads. We experience our thoughts like this, as we experience perspective or the z-axis of an hologram. But these are just illusions.
We have to know what is reality to be able to find what the ultimate reason and the ultimate goal of reality is - if there is any.

I don't think we can define what reality is. And, anyway, this would be more philosophical than it needs for my argumentation!
Even if something is not "really real" (using whatever definition of "reality" you want), it is still something. It's not pure Nothingness.

If something is not "really real" then it does not exist in that manner you might belive it to be real. For instance, if you dream about a fake Nike shoe then that shoe is not real at all. But if you go to a store and you buy a fake Nike shoe then that shoe might be real, but, indeed, the Nike trademark would still be unreal, so it wouldn't be a "real Nike shoe", just a "real shoe".
There are more levels of interpretation to talk about, but this whole mass of levels logically have one root. And this one root is what I call the ultimate reality, wether or not it's something we experience.

"if you dream about a fake Nike shoe then that shoe is not real at all".
To affirm that, you suppose "I" is real.
My point is that there is no way to affirm "I" is more real than the fake Nike shoe he dreams of.
You could say "If there was not a real "I", there couldn't be a fake Nike shoe dream!". My point is that "I" could well be a dream dreaming. The big adventure of being a "I" may be as unreal as the Nike shoe dream.
If a dream makes a dream, is that last dream less real than the dreamer?
But then gain, one thing is sure: even if everything is not real, even if everything is a dream, it's not pure Nothingness.

Yes, that's the final point indeed. I'd really like to tell about the "unrealness of self" but this page is too small for it (and my English is far too poor for this theme). But maybe I'll try to write a post about the sum of my theory once.
I always do spend time pondering over that. It seems that everything everybody around us in particular does not exist since we have only experienced one life and that is ours. The best and only thing we can do is trust. Trust in the fact that their are other individuals thinking and breathing besides yourself. Usually the trust is provided automatically but sometimes if you question it, it will evaporate and reappear over the course of your life. Sorry if that didn't really make sense. I just always question what is real and what isn't. I think nothing(along with perfect) is just a term put in the dictionary out of human nature. But then again thats my opinion. There could be some wild place with actual nothing in it. Again sorry if that didn't make sense I tend to babble on (and on) about this sunbect.
First of all i have to say, that even nothing is something. There is no such thing as nothing, not in this universe or the next. A dream is a dream, like how you concept and move around math numbers while you add and subtract, all in your head. But it is something. Furthermore, because of this, i highly disaprove in the big bang theory. "Something" cannot spring from "nothing". Is it possible that there are things that are impossible?

Furthermore, because of this, i highly disaprove in the big bang theory. "Something" cannot spring from "nothing". Is it possible that there are things that are impossible?
Basically we call those things "impossible" which are not possible. But of course, even if we call something impossible, it might be possible. Like things being at two places at one time. Some decades ago we thought that would be impossible because one thing is at one place every time. But it's not. Things can be on multiple places at one time and this called superposition, and this is a proven thing. There are laboratories around the world where you can see the same thing at two places at one time.
So you have to be aware that the labels you use for things to deal with (a.k.a. your words) are created according to the things and not the things are created according to your labels. So whatever you call something, it might be not true.
Because of this, if you say "nothingness", it cannot be something. Because we use the label nothingness for the total absence of anything. It might be that nothingness doesn't exist but something cannot be nothing according to our own definitions.
And even impossible things can't exist for the same reason. We call those things impossible of which we know or believe that they cannot exist due to technical, logical, physical or whatever reasons. When you think about something as impossible, and you realize that it actually can happen or can exist, then you change it's label and you relabel it as possible. It's not going to be impossible anymore to you from the moment you recognize that it can happen, and of course it was never ever impossible actually, just you labeled it impossible. So impossible things can't be possible.
But of course this doesn't explain how matter jumped into existence at once.
You've just answered the ultimate question, with another question, therefore not really answering it at all...
I am intrigued to know you're view on 'The Purpose Of Life'...

Indeed, that was not an answer but more a explanation on how I see this ultimate question!

Now try to imagine that all of a sudden – poof! – a golf ball appears in the aquarium. Now, does this sudden appearance not seem entirely impossible to you? Given that there was absolutely nothing in the aquarium, there was nothing that could have caused this sudden creation. There is no way a ball could have appeared out of nothing. Since the aquarium was entirely empty, even the potential for the appearance of a golf ball was absent!
Now turn your attention to yourself. You exist. The words that you are reading exist. Everything that surrounds you exists. The earth exists and the universe exists. A huge number of things exist! Can you imagine if all these things had never existed? If nothing had ever existed? What if there had been no you, or no universe? What if there had been nothing at all save for an eternal nothingness?
The golf ball is a metaphor that represents everything that exists: you, the universe, the stars, energy and matter. Why is there a golf ball rather than nothingness? Against this backdrop of a potential eternal nothingness, how is the presence of existence possible?
This is The Ultimate Question Of Life, The Universe And Everything!
