The only problem I see with this is that the premise is based on the law of gravity; it does not explain why things are the way they are! (i.e. The laws of the universe show God was not necessary for the creation of the universe; but in what fashion were the laws of nature established? Why was it not simply the case that gravity happened to be a little stronger, or not existent at all?) If Stephen Hawking has found a way to explain the origin of the four fundamental forces then he will surely rock the world of science with this publication!
